Born in 2022 in the basements of Purdue University, freeplay began to play small house shows in their local DIY music scene. While mainly opting for covers and crowd favorites, the band's chemistry was clear and they quickly became a regular act on the weekend show bills. Now (just two band name changes later), they have released their first studio-recorded EP which is available to stream on most platforms, as well as for purchase on this site.

Their cohesion as musicians only became stronger once they began writing, and was the pillar to their writing process. In hand with this, their love for a variety of music genres not only connected them but provided much inspiration for their own music.

Playing in basements and on stages alike throughout the Midwest, freeplay leans on their high-energy, effortlessly fun, and captivating stage presence to bring down the house with every set.
